If you have been to Linghu Lake, you will find it's a place where a day goes beyond 24 hours. The rest of a day means the infinite possibilities to explore the unknown. There are so many different kinds of lifestyles. A space is only meaningful when it is lived in by people, day in and day out.

Clues of Nature
The living space is surrounded by the lake. The villa consists of three floors plus the basement. The building perfectly frames the beautiful scenery. The breeze from the lakeside adds a touch of nature into the space. Space is regarded as a continuous and flowing interval between objects and events. In order to seamlessly connect and grow with the surrounding nature, the overlapping flow of the axis is especially important.
The whole building retains a linear design. The space of each floor is linearly organized and distributed. The transparent glass and the open layout of the living room blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces. Each area enables the interaction between people and the space in simple lines and harmonious proportions. While maintaining a clean, sleek and rhythmic visual effect, it also shows a clear understanding of the fact that the function of the space is to provide a background for daily life. There are enough room among the living room, kitchen, dining room, guest room, washing room and other functional areas, as well as between the floors, for people to come and go freely.

The arrangement of all flows is based on daily routines and behaviors, allowing for good ventilation. Instantly, you'll find yourself already living a poetic Walden way of life without even knowing it.
The shared space is as open as possible. Although there is a place for doors between different rooms, the presence of doors is reduced to the minimum to form a highly pleasant and open visual experience. On the first floor, there is a suspended partition device between the living room and the guest room, which connects the lounge room for quiet reading or music playing, with each room being both independent and inter-connected. When playing the piano, the whole first floor is filled with beautiful music.

An Evolving Space
"A newly furnished house is a new starting point." The simple kitchen and dining room connect with the living room. You can enjoy delicious food in it or sit on both sides of the kitchen island, spending time together while appreciating the green scenery outside the window. With the savory aroma of the food, it's like spring time all year round at home.
People's constant thoughts lead to an ever-changing lifestyle over time. The combination of open space modules allows for diverse and flexible functions. Everything is within comfortable distance, so you can take it slow. It's the perfect balance between life and the ideal and contributes to a positive emotional connection.

As the connecting point between different floors, the stairs add a touch of philosophical thinking into daily life. A transparent design in escalating simple lines becomes a vivid spatial expression.

Spatial Connection
It is essential to share space while maintaining the necessary privacy. So, the freedom of connection is indispensable for the functional areas of the home. The second and third floors are used as private space for the family. It’s a pause button for a continuous flow. Each family member is free to decide when to work or rest, especially for the owners who travel and have to deal with jet lag a lot. They can avoid interference, rest comfortably or work when needed.

Calmness comes from pure colors. In the living space, the color scheme should be soothing, especially in the bedroom. The white plus wood color scheme in a private space seems simple but smart. It satisfies one's longing for nature while creating a cozy atmosphere. The large area of white in the bedroom allows natural light to be fully reflected on the wall, the ceiling and every surface. The bright light and open space meet the family's needs to both study and work in their own spaces.

The Play of Light and Shadow
Remove any redundant decorations, and focus more on the spiritual aspects of the space. The use of natural elements is maximized according to the owner's preferences. For example, the lighting of the basement is carefully designed with multiple light wells that allow for sufficient light. A beautiful play of light and shadow is created with the passing of time, with light spots scattered in different places.
The spring breeze penetrates through the wood grills, blowing the pages of books, teasing the tree shadows, and creating a quiet and elegant style. The contrast of different materials also becomes a discussion of the relationship between objects in space, highlighting the power of the space.
